A freshman from Raleigh, North Carolina, Richardson produced the fastest time this season in Conference Carolinas in the 400 meters at the UNCW Seahawk Invitational, the opening event of the outdoor campaign. He posted a fifth-place finish in the event with a time of 50.26 seconds.
A native of Borgasetriô, Iceland, Asgeirsson hit the league qualifying standard and placed second overall in the shot put while competing at UNCW. In a field of nearly 30 competitors, the freshman finished runner-up following a toss of 16.02 meters, which ranks second all-time at Mount Olive. He currently holds the top mark in the Southeast Region in the event.
