MOUNT OLIVE – The University of Mount Olive women's volleyball program has been recognized for its excellence in the classroom, earning the 2026 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award.

The Trojans were one of 1,432 collegiate and high school volleyball programs nationwide to receive the honor after posting a team grade-point average of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale during the 2025-26 academic year.

The AVCA Team Academic Award recognizes volleyball programs that demonstrate a commitment to academic success while competing at a high level on the court. Programs from all levels of collegiate and high school volleyball are eligible for the award by meeting the minimum GPA requirement across the entire academic year.
