MOUNT OLIVE – The Conference Carolinas released its 2025 postseason volleyball awards this afternoon, and sophomore outside hitter Olivia Melvin was named Third Team All-Conference, marking the second postseason honor of her career. She earned Freshman of the Year in 2024.
Melvin delivered a standout sophomore campaign, leading the Trojans in kills, kills per set, points, and points per set, while ranking third in both total blocks and block assists. She finished the regular season 11th in the conference in total kills and 13th in kills per set, while also placing fourth in block assists (45) and 12th in points (347.5).
She produced 18 double-digit kill matches, highlighted by a career-high 19 kills against UNC Pembroke on Oct. 17. Melvin also posted three double-doubles and recorded four or more block assists four times.
Mount Olive (12-16, 10-10) enters the 2025 Conference Carolinas Women's Volleyball Championship as the 10th seed and will face ninth-seeded King University (12-15, 10-10) in Tigerville, S.C., in the opening round.
