NEW ORLEANS – The University of Mount Olive had four individuals honored with Southeast Regional Awards by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Janara Bryant and
Antoine King were both awarded Field Athlete of the Year for their standout 2026 seasons after both competing at nationals.
Janara Bryant takes Women's Southeast Regional Field Athlete of the Year after tying the national record in the Triple Jump and placing 4
th at NCAAs, while
Antoine King claims Men's Southeast Regional Field Athlete of the Year.
Two Mount Olive assistant coaches were named Southeast Regional Assistant Coaches of the Year for the men,
Justin Potter was honored with this award and for the women,
Clive McDonald claimed the award for the region. Between the two coaches, they had multiple individual conference champions and 7 total National Qualifiers who all finished strong in Emporia.
