Day two of the 2026 Track & Field nationals completed with one Trojan getting first team All-American and two athletes, breaking school and conference records. Haniyyah Johnson and Serenity Harvey move to finals in their respective events. Janara Bryant took fourth place in triple jump to take first team All-American, while Antoine King and Jasmine Colwell ended their day in heartbreak.
Sophomore Janara Bryant hit a fourth-place mark of 12.72 meters in the triple jump, which score her the first place All-American honors.
Senior Haniyyah Johnsn took sixth-place in the 100m hurdles with a time of 13.49 seconds which broke her own school record and a conference record. She will be moving onto finals in the sixth seed today at 5:25 PM EST.
Freshman Serenity Harvey finished first place overall in the 200m dash with a school and conference record breaking time of 23.06 seconds which qualified her to be the first seed in today's finals which will be held at 7:20 PM EST.
Sophomore Antoine King ended with a mark of 49.95 m in discus to complete his day in Emporia, Kansas.
Sophomore Jasmine Colwell missed her marks on Friday afternoon to end her time at nationals.
Make sure to catch the women's 4x100 at 4:40 PM EST where Serenity Harvey, Futoria Harris, Heaven Roberts, and Haniyyah Johnson will be competing for gold. At 5:25 PM EST Haniyyah Johnson will be competing in the 100 m hurdles. To conclude the day for the Trojans Serenity Harvey will be competing in the 200 m dash at 7:20 PM EST.
