Teams announced for 2026 NCAA Division II Baseball Championship

MOUNT OLIVE – The NCAA has officially announced the 56-team field for the 2026 NCAA Division II Baseball Championship, with regional competition set to begin Thursday, May 14, across 16 regional sites nationwide.

The road to the national title will once again conclude at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, where the University of Mount Olive and the Town of Cary will co-host the championship finals from May 29-June 6.

The NCAA Division II Baseball Championship bracket was unveiled during the NCAA Selection Show on Sunday, May 10 on NCAA.com. The 56-team field includes 21 automatic qualifiers and 35 at-large selections. Regional competition will take place May 14-17, followed by super regionals May 21-23. The eight super regional winners will advance to Cary for the national finals.

This year marks the 16th time Cary has hosted the NCAA Division II Baseball Championship, making it one of the longest-running host sites in Division II baseball history. In December 2024, the NCAA announced a long-term extension keeping the championship in Cary through 2038, with the University of Mount Olive and Cary continuing as co-hosts alongside support from the Greater Raleigh Sports Alliance. The agreement is believed to be only the fourth-ever long-term championship hosting contract in NCAA Division II.

• Selection Show – Sunday, May 10
• Regionals – May 14-17
