Women Track & Field Win 2026 Conference Carolinas Championship

MYRTLE BEACH (April 23-25) – For the 12th year in a row the women's track and field team takes home nine gold medals from 12 different athletes to bring the 2026 Conference Carolinas Outdoor Championship. The women's swept taking home freshman, track, and field athlete of the year. Coach Earl Graves claims coach of the year award for his fifth year. The women claim freshman of the year for the second year previously being Jenna Bryant this year you're bringing serenity Harvey, who also won track athlete of the year. Jenna Bryant took home field athlete of the year.

The gold medalist are freshman serenity Harvey, who competed in the 200 m and 400 m. In the 200 m ran at mock speed to cross the finish line at the 23.38 second mark. In 400 m she crossed the finish line and 54.06 seconds to take gold. 

Sophomore Jan Bryant competed in the triple jump, long jump, and high jump. She claimed first place in triple jump with a distance of 13.37 m in the long jump she finished first with a distance of 5.75 m and in high jump, she took third with a height of 1.62 m. 

In the 4x100 Harvey, Essence Slate, Heaven Roberts, and Haniyyah Johnson completed their relay in 44.99 seconds to capture the first place spot. 

In the 4x400 Slate, Macie Inman, Harvey, and Lakeiya Sanders took home gold with the time of 3:53.16. 

Jasmine Colwell showed up with strength and took first place in the shot put and the hammer throw. In the shot put, she threw it 13.63 m and in the hammer throw, she threw a distance of 51.05 m.

Johnson finished with the time of 13.54 and the 100 m hurdles to contribute 10 points to the team win because of the first place finish. 

On Thursday, Isabelle Grena takes third place in the hammer throw with a distance of 47.56 m. 

On the final day of championships essence slate took home second with a time of 55 seconds in the 400 m dash. 

In the 100 m final Futoria Harris cross the finish line at 11.59 to take second. 

In the 200 m finals Roberts takes the third place spot on the podium with a time of 24.14 seconds. 

The Trojans season doesn't end here they will be competing in the Duke twilight meeting on May 3.
