GREENVILLE, S.C. – Mount olive men's indoor track & field athletes Artem Meltsaiev and Antoine King both claim this week's athlete of the week awards following standout performances at the UNCW Seahawk Invite.

Meltsaiev, a Freshman from Ivana Piddubnogo, Kyiv, Ukraine took first place in the 800m dash hitting a qualifying mark at a pace of 1:57.08. He also placed second in the 1500m with a time og 3:59.59.

King, a sophomore took 1^st in the discus, 3^rd in the hammer, and 6^th in the shot put hitting a Provo mark in the Discus with a throw of 52.15  also making a 3^rd all-time rank in school history. In he hammer he threw 49.91 hitting a qualifying mark as well as the shot put with a throw of 13.95 meters.

The next competition for the Mount Olive track & field team will be Mar. 20-21 in Myrtle Beach, S.C. at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invite.
