Greenwood, S.C. (Feb. 3) Following a dominant competition at the Marlin Invitational, Sigursteinn Asgeirsson has been selected as the Conference Carolinas' Men's Field Athlete of the Week.
Asgeirsson was able to place first in a hard-fought competition, hurling a winning throw of 16.32 meters, or 53' 6.5".  He is leading the conference with his season's marks and has not stepped off the top of the podium in any competition since April of last year. 
The Trojans look to return this weekend to the JDL Fast Track to compete in the Camel City Relays.
