FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. — The University of Mount Olive men's volleyball team continued its strong midseason surge on Sunday, defeating Emmanuel in straight sets (25–23, 25–21, 25–23) at Shaw Athletic Center. 

The win marked the Trojans' sixth straight victory, their third sweep of the year, and kept UMO perfect in Conference Carolinas action at 4–0.

Mount Olive delivered one of its most balanced offensive performances of the season, finishing with 41 kills on a .323 hitting percentage. Brooks Ignosci led the attack with nine kills, while Kory Grant added seven kills and seven digs. 

Maksim Kazanov was highly efficient with seven kills on 11 swings, and Matthew Ekberg contributed six kills and three block assists. Setter Jackson Lahey guided the offense with 32 assists while adding five kills of his own. 

Defensively, libero Luca Colombo anchored the back row with 18 digs as the Trojans held Emmanuel to a .243 hitting percentage and totaled 5.5 team blocks.

UMO opened the match with a .429 hitting clip in the first set and maintained control throughout, using timely sideouts and steady defensive pressure to close out each frame. The Trojans sealed the sweep with a composed finish in the third set, securing another key conference win on the road.

With the victory, Mount Olive improves to 7–3 overall and remains unbeaten in league play. The Trojans continue on the road facing North Greenville and Belmont Abbey on Friday and Saturday, respectively. The NGU match begins at 6 p.m. and the BAC match begins at noon.
