Broom’s Career Night Powers Trojans to 23–0 Shutout of Ferrum

MOUNT OLIVE –The University of Mount Olive women's lacrosse team earned a dominant 23–0 victory over conference newcomer Ferrum College, improving to 2–0 in conference play on Tuesday afternoon.
 
Mount Olive controlled the tempo throughout the contest, finishing with 37 total shots, including 30 on goal. Katie Broom delivered a standout performance, recording seven goals and one assist for a team-high eight points. She added eight draw controls and two caused turnovers to cap a complete all-around effort. 

Lyndzy Palensky recorded threes across the board with three goals, points, shots, and shots on goal. Ava Mullen, Reese Weddle, Jazna Dumont, and Jordan Bolam each had two goals to help drive the score up.  
Goalkeepers Molly Pulliam, Ruby Burandt, and Karissa Doerr each played for the Trojans as Burandt recorded two saves.  

The Trojans return to play on Sunday Feb., 22 against Rockhurst at 1 p.m.
