MOUNT OLIVE – Two Mount Olive men's volleyball student-athletes earned Conference Carolinas weekly honors following the season opener against Penn State.
Junior middle Maksim Kazanov received Conference Carolinas Player of the Week honors after leading the Trojans in kills. Kazanov recorded 13 kills on a .524 hitting percentage (13 kills, 2 errors, 21 attempts), while adding two block assists, three digs, and one service ace.
Senior setter Jackson Lahey earned Conference Carolinas Specialist of the Week after pacing the team with 33 assists against Penn State. He also contributed three block assists and eight digs in the match.
Mount Olive remains on the road for its next contest, traveling to face McKendree at the UC Invitational, hosted by the University of Charleston in Charleston, W.Va., on Friday, Jan. 16, at 4 p.m.
