MOUNT OLIVE The University of Mount Olive women's basketball team delivered a wire-to-wire performance on Saturday afternoon, rolling past Erskine 104–57 in a dominant home victory inside Kornegay Arena.

The 104 points scored by the Trojans ties for the third-most points in a single game in program history, marking the first time Mount Olive has reached that total since also scoring 104 against Lees-McRae on Feb. 27, 2006.

Mount Olive set the tone early and never looked back, opening the game on a fast-paced run that featured aggressive defense and relentless transition offense. The Trojans led 22–13 after the first quarter before blowing the game open in the second, outscoring the Flying Fleet 28–10 to take a commanding 50–23 advantage into halftime.

The Trojans were nearly unstoppable offensively, shooting 56.8 percent from the field while piling up 47 fast break points and 76 points in the paint. Mount Olive also capitalized on Erskine miscues, scoring 38 points off turnovers and forcing 28 on the defensive end.

Aniyah Vanhook led all scorers with 22 points, knocking down 9-of-13 shots and adding six rebounds. Jerin Truesdale followed with 18 points and 11 rebounds, recording a double-double while anchoring the Trojans inside. Kayla Jackson chipped in 16 points, while Jada Priebe added 12 points and eight rebounds.

Mount Olive's depth proved to be a difference-maker, as the Trojans received 44 points from the bench, highlighted by Chloe Kester's 12 points and Kayana Cloud's eight points and four assists.

The Trojans continued to apply pressure in the second half, posting 30 points in the third quarter to extend the lead to 80–36 before cruising through the final period. All 10 Mount Olive players who saw action scored, underscoring the team's balanced and efficient performance.

With the win, Mount Olive improved to 5–8 overall and 2–5 in Conference Carolinas play. The Trojans have a week off before facing Lees-McRae on Saturday, Jan. 17 at 2 p.m. in Banner Elk, NC.
