SUMTER, SC - The University of Mount Olive women's tennis team traveled to Sumter, SC to compete in the 2025 ITA Southeast Women's Regional Championships.

In singles flight A, Victoria Calle dropped a 7-6 (7-3), 6-1 match to Flagler's Eryka Kruk, while Simone Szovan fell 6-3, 6-1 to Lees-McRae's Patricia Vedia. Calle will face Lenoir-Rhyne's Mehetia Boosie in Saturday's consolation round, and Szovan will play Francis Marion's Lara Lanno.

In flight B singles, Nina Bernier lost 5-7, 6-2, (7-10) to Catawba's Tina Gomes. She will meet UVA Wise's Lucy Cunliffe in consolations.

Szovan and Bernier claimed an 8-2 doubles win over Tusculum's Ylva Frafjord Landa in flight A and will face Young Harris's Maud Scholten and Futaba Saito on Saturday. Calle and Alina Esser dropped an 8-5 decision to Young Harris's Viviana Gomez Lopez and Callie Stanfield in the opening round.

The Trojans continue play Saturday in consolations and the next round of doubles.
