University of Mount Olive women’s tennis team falls to North Greenville 6-1

Tigerville, S.C. – University of Mount Olive women's tennis team falls to North Greenville 6-1 on the road.

The Trojans fell behind early as North Greenville claimed the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3, while the pair of Nina Bernier and Simone Szovan went on to secure a 7-6 victory at the No. 1 spot.

In singles play, the Trojans would pick up one point coming from a strong performance by Szovan. She picked up a three set 7-6, 3-6, 10-5 win at No. 1. North Greenville would go on to win straight-set victories at No. 2, No. 3, No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6, to secure a 6-1 match victory.

Mount Olive returns home to take on Francis Marion University on Wednesday April 1st at 2 p.m.
