McCormick, SC - The University of Mount Olive competed amongst the best Division II women's golf programs in the country at the Savannah Lakes Women's Fall Invitational this week.
The top five team finishes of the Invitational consisted of teams nationally ranked in the top 40 in Division II last season: Lee (13th), Lander (19th), Western Florida (24th), Florida Southern (27th), and Carson-Newman (33th), according to rankings by Scoreboard by Clippd.
Lee captured first-place on 12-over, followed by Florida Southern (22-over), Carson-Newman (24-over), West Florida (27-over), and Lander (29-over) to round out the top-five team finishes.
The Trojans finished in 10th place, collecting 74-over.
Claire Beitel (18-over) and
Violette Daudin (19-over) paced the way for Mount Olive, finishing 45th and 47th respectively.
Both were followed by Lucie Levet (21-over) in 54th, Aoi Ito (22-over) in 56th, and Valentina Agostino (27-over) in 67th.
The Trojans' next competition at the St. Simmons Intercollegiate Invitational from Oct. 6-7 in Harrogate, Tenn.
