Box Score YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. (March 29) – After clinching a critical doubles point, the Trojans collected a 4-3 victory on Saturday afternoon against Young Harris in Conference Carolinas play at Bob & Gayle Nichols Tennis Complex.
With the win, the University of Mount Olive women's tennis program improves to 6-6 this season with a 4-1 record in conference action. The Trojans claimed their first-ever victory in the series with YHC in three all-time meetings. Meanwhile, Young Harris falls to 5-12 overall with a 3-2 mark in league play.

Simone Szovan suffered a 2-6 loss to Simone Mercier and Futaba Saito. The sophomore duo

Lara Stamereilers recorded a 6-2 victory in the second slot over Andreia Semeano and Callie Stanfield, while senior

Alina Esser posted a 6-4 win against Holly Ashford and Maud Scholten in the third position.
Mount Olive battled to a 4-3 win in the singles session following three match victories. In the first slot, Stamereilers fell by a narrow margin of 5-7, 6-4, 4-6 to Mercier before freshman
Claudia Cerdan dropped a 0-6, 0-6 decision to Scholten in second singles. Szovan fought to a 6-4, 5-7, 6-1 win in the third position versus Viviana Gomez Lopez, while Calle suffered a 2-6, 6-4, 6-7 (7-9) loss to Saito. The Trojans picked up two wins in the final singles matches with Bernier winning 6-3, 6-4 against Semeano and freshman
Julie Jagiella posting a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Stanfield.
Mount Olive will be idle for nearly a week before hosting Emmanuel on Friday, April 4, at 2 p.m.
