BRISTOL, TN (March 22) – The duo of junior

Holden Maryott led the UMO offense with a combined 20 kills, as the Trojans picked up another conference win on Saturday afternoon following a 3-0 win (25-22, 25-12, 25-20) over King.
With the win, the University of Mount Olive men's volleyball program extends its winning streak to 14 and improves to 16-2 this season with a perfect 11-0 mark in conference action. The Trojans have claimed 13 wins via a straight sweep in 2025 and have only dropped nine sets the entire year. Meanwhile, the Tornado fall to 3-19 overall behind a 3-9 record in league play.
For a third consecutive match, Grant led the Trojans in the kill department as he racked up 11 on a .304 hitting percentage along with six digs and one block. Maryott was back to his dominant ways with nine kills on an efficient .500 clip while collecting two service aces, two blocks, and a dig. Senior

Jackson Lahey pulled together his 14th 30-plus assist game of the season as he dished out 32 while contributing a kill, a service ace, and eight digs.
Freshman libero
Luca Colombo led the Mount Olive defense with a game-high 14 digs against the Tornado.
The first set would end up being the closest of the three on the afternoon as the two sides traded runs early on. An advantageous 4-1 run by the Tornado would help tie the match briefly at 11-11. UMO would respond with a three-point run of their own and would never give up the lead again in the set taking it 25-22.
The second set was one of the quickest for the Trojans all season as they breezed by 25-12. Mount Olive had five runs of at least three points during the set including an emphatic six-point run with four kills and two blocks to turn a 18-11 lead into a 24-11 before closing it out.
In the final set, the Tornado looked to avoid the sweep after establishing an early 3-1 advantage. The two sides would trade points until the middle of the set where a kill by junior
Constantinos Iacovou sparked an 11-2 scoring run for the Trojans. With a 20-11 lead for the UMO, King battled back with a massive 9-2 run as they brought it to a two-point game, 22-20. The Trojans would end the set with three straight points, including two masterful service aces by Maryott.
The Trojans will return home to Kornegay Arena this Friday, March 28 as they take on the visiting Emmanuel at 7 p.m.
