MOUNT OLIVE – The University of Mount Olive athletics department has partnered with Make A Difference Food Pantry and DUMA Food Pantry to offer free admission to select men's and women's basketball games during the 2025-26 season.
As basketball season tips off and the holidays approach, UMO will collect canned and dry goods to support local families through these two community food pantries. Fans can gain free entry by donating five canned goods at the following home games:
- Tuesday, Nov. 11 – 6 p.m. – Women's Volleyball vs Francis Marion
- Wednesday, Nov. 19 – 5:30 p.m. – Women's Basketball vs. Livingstone
- Monday, Dec. 1 – 5:30 p.m. – Men's Basketball vs. Winston-Salem State
- Wednesday, Dec. 3 – 7 p.m. – Men's Basketball vs. Coker
- Saturday, Dec. 6 – 2 p.m. – Women's Basketball vs. Ferrum
- Saturday, Dec. 6 – 4 p.m. – Men's Basketball vs. Ferrum
"We're excited to help our local communities in any way we can and to use our platforms for the betterment of our students and the people of Mount Olive," said Joey Higginbotham, Director of Athletics.
