Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Trojans Fall to #17 Ranked Francis Marion on the Road

The University of Mount Olive women's soccer fell 3-0 to nationally ranked conference foe Francis Marion Wednesday evening. 

Francis Marion currently ranks 17th in the United Soccer Coaches (USC) national poll with an undefeated record of 13-0. The Patriots are one of two undefeated teams in the country (Dallas Baptist 12-0-0). This caused the Trojans to fall 4-8-2 with the loss to the Patriots. 

Mount Olive fought hard against Francis Marion, collecting ten shots against the Patriots, the second most they've allowed this season. Addison Dangler, led the team with four shots, followed by two from Sierra Criner, and one each from Ana Caldentey, Halie Keller, and Jada Turner. It wasn't enough as the Trojans were held scoreless by the Patriots, who have recorded 12 shutouts this season. 

Women's soccer will continue on the road to face UNC Pembroke at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 25th.
