Last-Minute Loss: Mount Olive Falls 1-0 to UNC Pembroke

PEMBROKE - Mount Olive matched up against conference foe UNC Pembroke Saturday afternoon, losing 1-0 on the road.

The Trojans drop to 4-9-2 overall, 2-7-2 in conference play, while the Braves move to 7-6-1 overall, 7-3-1 in league play.

Goalkeeper Anais Coyne played a full 90 minutes, holding the Braves scoreless for almost the full 90 minutes for a shutout, but a last second effort by UNCP allowed them to score with less than two seconds left.

Coyne recorded seven saves in the effort, just a few seconds off what would have been her third shutout of the season. She faced a total of 21 shots in the game.
Mount Olive totaled 19 shots, eight being on goal: Natalia Kaminski and Addison with two, and Charlotte Benson, Tessia Ferreira, Riley Booth, and Sierra Criner with one each.

The Trojans return home on Tuesday to face rival Barton at 5 PM.
