AUGUSTA, Ga. (Feb. 16) – Following a sweep in doubles play, the Trojans collected another regional victory by a score of 4-3 at Augusta on Friday afternoon in non-conference play.
With the win, the University of Mount Olive men's tennis program improves to 2-1 overall and collects back-to-back regional victories early in the season. The Trojans and Jaguars met for the first time since the 2017-18 season and UMO earns their first win in the series dating back to 2010. Meanwhile, Augusta drops to 2-3 this season while playing all five matches at home.

Kristoffer Dalbak captured a victory in the first position by a score of 6-4 against Elie Azoulay and Enzo Garutti. In the second slot, sophomore

Bram Poel claimed a 7-6 (7-5) win in the third doubles versus Alexis Bailhache and Quentin Cano Perez.
In singles play, UMO split the six singles matches to seal a 4-3 victory on the road in non-conference action. de Oliveira suffered a 1-6, 5-7 loss against Garutti in the first position while Gruenefeldt fell by a 6-4, 4-6, 0-1 (6-10) margin versus Cano Perez in the second slot. In the third singles, Dalbak rallied back to earn a 2-6, 6-1, 7-6 victory over Isago. Poel followed with a 6-4, 6-3 win against Bailhache in the fourth position before sophomore
Kabir Chhabria won 6-4, 3-2 after Azoulay was forced to retire in the fifth spot. In the sixth slot, freshman
Hampus Hagglund suffered a 1-6, 6-4, 6-7 (5-7) loss versus Valette.
The Trojans return to the court tomorrow, Saturday, Feb. 17, at Limestone for non-conference action at 2 p.m.
