MOUNT OLIVE (Oct. 19) – Senior
Olivia Womack delivered a two-goal performance on Saturday afternoon, as the Trojans cruised past Shorter by a 4-0 margin in Conference Carolinas play at Amon Field on Senior Day.
With the win, the University of Mount Olive women's soccer program improves to 5-3-3 overall behind a 4-3-1 mark in conference action. It marked the first meeting between the sides in program history as Shorter joined the Conference Carolinas this season. Meanwhile, the Hawks drop to 1-11-1 this year with a 0-9-1 record in league play.

Yaneli Sanchez sent a corner kick into the box, bouncing over several defenders before Womack volleyed a shot into the top netting, 1-0. The Trojans added to their lead at the 32:56 mark as senior
Tianna Hill laced a shot into the bottom-left corner of the net, her ninth of the season, off an assist by freshman
Rebecca Witkiewicz, 2-0. UMO finished the first half with a 24-0 shot advantage with eight corner kicks in the initial 45 minutes.
In the second half, Womack scored her second goal in the contest in 64th minute after blasting a shot through multiple players in front of the net with sophomore
Jackie Lackey awarded an assist, 3-0. In the final minutes of the match, UMO earned a penalty kick following a takedown in the box, freshman
Sierra Criner scored her first collegiate goal in the bottom-right side of the net at the 84:11 mark to capture a 4-0 shutout on Saturday.

Samantha Gildner earned the win after playing the opening 56-plus minutes of the match before fellow senior
Cailey Bruni finished the final 33:56.
Mount Olive out-shot Shorter by a 48-0 margin while registering a 14-0 lead in corner kicks.
The Trojans return to play on Tuesday, Oct. 22, when they travel to face Chowan in divisional action at 1 p.m.
