Franklin Springs, Georgia - The Trojans of the University of Mount Olive's women's lacrosse team took down Emmanuel College in conference action on Monday afternoon in Franklin Springs, Ga.. The Trojans won 29-9 and improved their record to 11-4 ,8-0.
INSIDE THE SCORE
The Trojans came off the draw falling early 1-0 as Emmanuel scored first less than 30 seconds into the first quarter. Mount Olive countered with four goals in less than three minutes and took the lead, 4-1. The contest got out of hand quickly as even with the Lions' four goals scored, UMO answered with seven of their own to held into the second up 11-5.
In the second, the Trojans continued to score in bunches adding eight more to their tally and went into halftime leading 19-7.
Mount Olive shutout EC in the third adding six more goals to their lead.
The final quarter was the lowest scoring of the contest but Emmanuel had no chance to recover as the Trojans took home the 29-9 victory.
