MOUNT OLIVE, North Carolina. - The University of Mount Olive men's volleyball team defeated the Bulldogs of Barton College 3-0 in conference action on Tuesday. This win takes the Trojans to 11-4 overall and 8-2 in conference.
GAME INFORMATION
With the unstoppable Trojan offense, the first set saw an early 7-4 UMO lead. A five-point Mount Olive run extended the lead to 12-5. UMO did not stop there as they took yet another five-point run to earn the 11-point lead of 18-7. The lead difference was too big for the Bulldogs to come back as UMO took the first set 25-12.
The second set saw an early 4-1 Barton lead. Mount Olive answered by tying the set at five. The Bulldogs took a crucial two-point run to increase their lead 9-6. UMO found their momentum to go on a three-point run tying the contest at 10. The two Conference Carolinas teams were back and forth until Mount Olive took the 15-13 lead. Barton could not find an answer for the Trojans as UMO took set two 25-22.
The final set saw an early 3-0 UMO lead. The Trojans increased their lead to 6-2 without an answer from the Bulldogs. UMO took a 10-point run to close out the third set and the match 25-10.

The Trojans were led by Eric Visgitis with nine kills. Jarrod Ferguson added 29 assists.
