TIGERVILLE, South Carolina - The Trojans of the University of Mount Olive's women's lacrosse team faced the Crusaders of North Greenville University on Saturday afternoon and won 21-5. Mount Olive improved to 4-0 in conference play.
INSIDE THE SCORE
The Trojans started off with eight straight goals.
Meagan Maxwell led UMO with three goals each in the first quarter. Emma Mayew scored NGU's only goal in the quarter. The Trojans finished the first quarter 9-1. In the second quarter the Trojans took charge as they only allowed three goals. The Trojans ended the first half 14-4 initiating the running clock rule.
At the start of the second half, The Trojans did not allow any goals. Each goal was scored by different players. The Trojans were able to share the ball and allow for different goal scoring opportunities against North Greenville. In the last frame of the game, NGU saw their last goal of the day with 12:08 left in the game. The Trojans finished the game 21-5. The Trojans completely dominated the game and left the Crusaders with their eighth loss of the season.

The key moment was when UMO outscored the Crusaders 9-1 in the first quarter, setting the tone for the rest of the game and pushing the team to a 21-5 win.
