DUE WEST, South Carolina - The University of Mount Olive men's volleyball team defeated the Flying Fleet of Erskine College 3-0 in conference action on Friday. This win takes the Trojans to 8-3 overall and 5-1 in conference. 

GAME INFORMATION
The opening set started with an early 5-1 Trojan lead with dominating UMO offense. Mount Olive continued their momentum throughout the first set as their lead increased to 17-9. The Trojans remained in control for the remainder of the first as they took the victory 25-16. 

The second set saw an early UMO lead 7-5. The Flying Fleet found momentum as they went back and forth with the Trojans until UMO took a 19-15 lead. Erskine found late points to tie the set at 24. UMO finished the set taking the final two points 26-24. 

Erskine did not back down after being two sets down as they opened the third set with a tied contest at eight. Later, Mount Olive took a four point run to take a 13-10 lead over Erskine. The momentum stayed with UMO for the remainder of the contest as the Trojans took set three and the match 25-20. 

Mount Olive Leaders
The Trojans were led by Tyran Gillespie with 12 kills. Jarrod Ferguson added 32 assists.

Flying Fleet Leaders
The Flying Fleet were led by Austin Edgerrin with 13 kills and 9 digs.
