MOUNT OLIVE, North Carolina --- Katie Houston has been named the women's volleyball assistant coach at the University of Mount Olive, it was announced by the Vice President of Athletics Jeff Eisen Monday.

Houston comes to Mount Olive after receiving her undergraduate at Chowan University while also being apart of the Women's Volleyball team. After her time at Chowan University she has joined the Trojan family as the Assistant Women's Volleyball Coach while also pursuing her masters degree in organizational leadership. 

"After reaching out to Emma to help coach I have found a great place to learn and grow in my coaching abilities as well in a short time." -says Katie Houston. 

"So excited to have Katie join our team! She embodies our culture beautifully: positive, competitive, and super eager to learn. She has ambitious goals of her own so she an easy 'yes' to join our program!" -says Head Women's Volleyball Coach Emma Celentano.
