VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia - The University of Mount Olive men's and women's track and field competed at the Richard Drake invitational in Virginia Beach, VA this weekend. The Trojans saw 10 changes in the UMO top-10.

On the men's side Aidan Gilbride finished first in his event running a 4:23.52 mile. Tanner Smith also had a good day in the field events placing first in the pole vault while also moving into 2nd in the UMO record book.

On the women's side, Laila Abouzaid improved to 3rd in the UMO record book with a time of 5:15.42 in the mile finishing in 2nd place. Katlyn Parrish also had a good day in the field events, as she moved up to 4th place in the UMO record book mark with 12.46m in the shot put, she also placed 4th in the event.
