MOUNT OLIVE, North Carolina - The University of Mount Olive men's basketball team defeated the Warriors of Southern Wesleyan University 76-68 Saturday. This win takes the Trojans to 11-11 overall and 10-8 in Conference.
INSIDE THE SCORE
The first two points of the contest went on the side of the Trojans with a layup from Alan Treakle. The Warriors found their momentum with 14:44 remaining as they took the lead by six 10-4. The Trojan defense had no answer for the Warriors as Southern Wesleyan took the 11-point lead 15-4 with 13:44 remaining. The Warriors held onto their momentum and kept a decent lead until the two minute mark when a jump shot from Darius Spragley brought the Trojans within two 28-26. Southern Wesleyan held the two point lead for the remainder of the first half.
The Trojans came out of halftime with a jump shot from Micheal Brown to tie the contest at 30. Southern Wesleyan fought to regain the lead until the Trojans took a three-point lead 46-43 with 12:42 remaining. With 8:39 remaining the Trojans increased their lead to 14. Mount Olive stayed in control for the remainder of the contest and took the eight point victory over the Warriors 76-68.

Alan Treakle led the Trojans with 20 points, and six rebounds, while Michael Brown took home 12 points.
WARRIORS LEADERS
The Warriors were led by Julian Cameron with 20 points.
