MOUNT OLIVE, North Carolina - The University of Mount Olive men's basketball team defeated the Crusaders of North Greenville University 105-96 Saturday. This win takes the Trojans to 12-11 overall and 11-8 in Conference.

INSIDE THE SCORE

UMO started off the first half with a three-pointer from Alan Treakle 3-0 with 19:37 remaining. UMO remained in control as they increased their lead to five with a layup from Micheal Brown 7-2 with 17:01. The Crusaders found their groove and took the lead with 15:20 remaining 10-9. A three-pointer from Darius Spragley gave the Trojans the lead 12-10. UMO held onto the lead and gained the momentum to increase their lead to 21 with 2:57 remaining. The remainder of the first half was all Trojan basketball as they closed it out with an 18-point lead 59-41. 

UMO came out strong in the second half and took the first four points making the Trojan lead 22 with 18:50 to go. North Greenville found their momentum as they came within 11 of Mount Olive 73-62. The Crusaders went to the free throw line to decrease the Trojan lead to 10 with 8:25 remaining. The Trojans had the momentum for the remainder of the contest as they took the nine-point victory 105-96.

Darius Spragley led the Trojans with 30 points, while Michael Brown took home five rebounds.

The Crusaders were led by C.J. Jamison with 20 points.
