WILSON, North Carolina- The University of Mount Olive men's volleyball team defeated the Bulldogs of Barton College 3-0 on Wenesday.This win takes the Trojans to 4-3 overall and 2-0 in conference.
GAME INFORMATION
UMO took an early lead to open set one 4-0. The Bulldogs had no answer for the Trojan offense as Mount Olive extended their lead to 11-3. A 22-9 Trojan lead was too large for Barton to come back as UMO took the first set 25-10.
To open set two the Conference Carolinas teams were back and fourth until Mount Olive took a 5-3 lead. Barton tied the set at five with a two point run. A two-point Trojan run gave Mount Olive a two-point lead 10-8. The two teams exchanged runs until UMO took a crucial three-point run to close out set two 25-20.
An early 3-0 Trojan lead opened the third set. UMO continued their momentum into set three as they took a five-point lead over the Bulldogs 8-3. The two teams went point-for-point for the next nine points until the Trojans took a four-point run to increase their lead 16-8. Mount Olive controlled the remainder of the contest taking set three and the match 25-14.

The Trojans were led by Dominic Hagerty with 10 kills while Jarrod Ferguson added 30 assists.
