Game Recap: Men's Lacrosse |

No. 14 Men's Lacrosse Fall on the Road to No. 16 Queens University

CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA - The No. 14 University of Mount Olive men's lacrosse team fell to No. 16 Queens University in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.

INSIDE THE SCORE
The Royals of Queens University wasted no time getting a goal on the scoreboard as Adam Barry put one up for the Royals at the 14:13 mark. Queens was able to get two more goals until Aidan Lalonde broke their streak and was able to get a goal at the 5:12 mark. Shortly after, Lucas Shein put up a goal with 2:59 minutes left in the quarter. After a long battle, the first quarter ended 4-2 in favor of the Royals. 

The UMO Trojans started the second quarter strong when Blake Tallon scored a goal from a pass by Chance Urban. The Trojans fell behind as Queens was able to get four more points on to the board. UMO ended the second quarter with a goal from Shein, assisted by Jake Polinksy. The quarter ended 8-4, Trojans behind.

In the third quarter of the match up, Tristan Dempers saw the back of the net scoring Mount Olive's only goal of the quarter. The Trojans were six points behind with the score standing at 11-5. 

In the final quarter of the game, the Royals of Queens University fought hard and were able to put five goals on the scoreboard to Mount Olives one. The only goal in the quarter from the Trojans was by Tallon with an assist from Jarrid Johnson
 
MOUNT OLIVE LEADERS
Blake Tallon and Lucas Shein led the Trojans with two goals each. Goalie Andrew Avarello had 13 saves. 

QUEENS LEADERS
Adam Barry led the Royals with three goals and three assists. 

KEY MOMENT
The game's key moment was when Queens University held Mount Olive to two goals in the second half of the game

UP NEXT
Mount Olive will return in action on February 26 at home in the Ray McDonald Sr. Sports Complex to face Rockhurst University. The first face-off is set for 11 a.m.
