MOUNT OLIVE, North Carolina - The University of Mount Olive men's basketball team defeated the Bobcats of Lees-McRae College 112-86 on Saturday. This win takes the Trojans to 13-12 overall and 12-9 in Conference. It was also senior day for Alan Treakle, Jeremiah Phifer, Landry Gainey, Matthias Caver, and Darius Spragley who were honored before the contest.
INSIDE THE SCORE
The two Conference Carolinas teams exchanged the lead back and fourth until UMO found their momentum. The Bobcats answered tying the contest at 30 with 6:55 remaining in the first half. The Trojans gained a 10-point lead with a layup from Alan Treakle 42-32. The Trojans increased their lead to 15 50-35. UMO gained a 19-point lead to head into the second half.
Mount Olive came out strong in the second half as they extended their lead to 20 with 19:16 remaining. The unstoppable Mount Olive offense remained in control of the contest as the lead extended to 26 79-53. The Bobcats could not find an answer for the Trojans as Lees-McRae fell to a 27 point deficit with 10:54 remaining. The remainder of the contest was in favor of the Trojans as they took the 26-point victory 112-86.

Jeremiah Phifer led the Trojans with 17 points, while Alan Treakle took home 16 points.
BOBCATS LEADERS
The Bobcats were led by Drew Gardner with 27 points.
