MOUNT OLIVE, North Carolina - The University of Mount Olive men's basketball team fell to the Braves of UNC Pembroke 101-84 on Wednesday. This loss takes the Trojans to 12-12 overall and 11-9 in Conference.
INSIDE THE SCORE
Mount Olive started off strong with a two point lead over the Braves 8-6. UNC Pembroke answered back to tie the contest at eight. The two teams were back and forth until the Braves found their momentum and took a 20-17 lead. UMO answered back to be within one of the Braves 20-19. A seven-point Pembroke lead required the Trojans to answer as Darius Spragley visited the free throw line. With 6:00 remaining the Braves took an 11-point lead 34-23. The two teams headed into half time with a nine-point Brave lead 46-37.
The first two points of the second half went to the Braves to extend their lead 48-37. A 50-37 UNC Pembroke lead forced a Trojan timeout. The Braves found their momentum and gained a 20-point lead over the Trojans 59-39 with 15:44 remaining. With 13:21 the Braves increased their lead 70-48. The Braves continued their momentum as they extended their lead 83-61 with 8:30 remaining. Mount Olive could not find an answer for the Braves as UNC Pembroke took a 101-84 victory.

Darius Spragley led the Trojans with 24 points, while Alan Treakle took home five rebounds.
BRAVES LEADERS
The Braves were led by Spencer Levi with 25 points.
