Mount Olive, NC: The UMO Men's Soccer team took on nationally ranked No. 4 Coker in non conference action. The Trojans fell short in the end, 2-1 in a match that was close from start to finish.
INSIDE THE SCORE:
Coker (6-0) got the scoring started with a goal off of a deflection less than five minutes into the game. The Trojans (4-3) had several chances throughout the first half, putting six shots on goal, but were unable to put the ball past the Coker keeper. Coker got on the board again with less than two minutes left in the first half to take a 2-0 lead into the locker room at halftime.
The second half went scoreless until a Trojan penalty kick in the 71st minute by
Glen Hernandez, brought the game to 2-1. The Trojans had chances to bring the score even, but were not able to find the back of the net and fell 2-1.

Glen Hernandez had the lone goal for the Trojans on a well struck penalty kick.
