UMO Women's Soccer Blanks Southern Wesleyan 4-0 To Open Conference Play

Mount Olive, N.C. – The University of Mount Olive women's soccer team took a 4-0 victory over the Warriors of Southern Wesleyan in the Trojans Conference Carolinas opener at Amon Field in Mount Olive, N.C. Prior to the contest a special moment of silence was taken in memory of the tragic terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.
 
Game Information
Mount Olive grabbed the momentum in the 15th minute as Abigail Crawford found  the back of the net. Neither team's offense could muster much of a threat for the remainder of the half and the Trojans took the advantage into the break.

In the second Emily Hein (Jasmine Pinter) and Pinter both picked up scores in the 65th and 82nd minutes respectively. Emma Campbell (Tianna Hill) sealed the win for UMO with eight seconds remaining in the game, and the Trojans defeated the Warriors 4-0.

Trojan Leaders
Mount Olive was led by Pinter, Hein, McLeod, and Campbell who each drove home a goal for UMO. Pinter also had an assist to go along with her goal.

Warrior Leaders
Southern Wesleyan was led by Cayla Hughes who had four of SWU's nine shots in the game.
