MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. - Mount Olive hosted Chowan University in Conference Carolinas action Tuesday afternoon. The Trojans went on to win, 24-2.
GAME INFORMATION
The Trojans got the scoring started just over a minute into the game with back to back goals by Megahan Michaud and
Kelly Young, putting the Trojans up 2-0. Three minutes later the Trojans scored another pair of back to back goals, the second of the day for Young, followed by
Bria Hamilton, extending the Trojans lead to 4-0.
Ciara Moorman made her second save of the day, briefly halting the Trojans offense. This didn't last for long as the Trojans scored eight more goals, increasing their lead to 12-0. With eleven minutes left in the first half, the Trojans scored six goals in an eleven minute span, giving them a 18-0 lead heading into the half.
The Trojans stayed hungry for more to begin the second half. Only taking three minutes before scoring again when
Kaitlyn Coleman found the back of the net. This was followed by two more goals, giving the Trojans a 21-0 lead. The Trojans added two more goals before Chowan scored for the first time of the game, adding two quick goals and making the score 23-2.. The Trojans responded by scoring one more goal of their own, taking the final, 24-3.
KEY MOMENT
The key moment came in the first half when the Trojans scored six times in seven minutes, increasing their lead to 18-0 before halftime.
