CENTRAL, S.C. - The No. 12 University of Mount Olive baseball team defeated Southern Wesleyan University 5-3/8-0 in Conference Carolinas action Sunday afternoon in Central, S.C. UMO improves to 7-0 overall 4-0 in conference, while Southern Wesleyan falls to 2-7, 2-6.

GAME ONE INFORMATION
The Trojans were stalled offensively until the top of the fourth when a pair of solo home runs by Zach Smith and Gunner Tolston put UMO a head by two. Blake McLean drove in another to boost the Trojans lead heading into the fifth. After UMO held Southern Wesleyan scoreless for four innings the Trojans added another solo run in the top of the fifth before SWU answered with a pair of runs in the bottom half. UMO was held scoreless in the sixth and the Warriors added their final run in the bottom of the sixth as UMO went onto take the final 5-3

TROJAN LEADERS
Alan Alonso led the team with a 3-for-4 one RBI game one performance. Hunter Stevens (2-0) recorded the win going four and a third allowing two runs off seven hits and struck out eight.

SOUTHERN WESLEYAN LEADERS 
Glass had three RBI in game three for the Warriors.

KEY MOMENT
The key moment of the first game was in the 4th inning when UMO took the lead as they never relinquished it. 

GAME TWO INFORMATION
Game two was a Mount Olive offensive onslaught as the Trojans started the scoring in the first.. Tolston singled home the first run of the game and the dominoes started to fall. UMO went onto score single runs in the 2nd, 5th, 6th, and 7th before adding a pair of runs in the 8th as they cruised to a 8-0 victory in the series-finale.

TROJAN LEADERS
Tolston led the team with two RBI on a 3-for-5 performance from the plate. Caleb Irwin (2-0) picked up the win going five complete allowing two hits and struck out five.

KEY MOMENT
The key moment came in the first when UMO took the lead and never gave it back.
