Box Score CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The No. 2 University of Mount Olive baseball team dropped a mid-week battle with Queens University 8-4 Wednesday afternoon in Charlotte, N.C. UMO falls to 10-2, while Queens goes to 5-12.
GAME INFORMATION
The Trojans began the contest in the lead as Vito Patierno scored Dusty Baker for the game's first run. The UMO lead did not stand as Queens scored three in the bottom of the first on two base hits and a wild pitch to take a 3-1 advantage. The Royals went onto add a single run in the fourth, before Mount Olive tied the game in the fifth.
A bases loaded walk to Baker and a costly fielding error, that allowed two to score for UMO, allowed Mount Olive to knot the game at four.
The four runs were all UMO could manage as QU added a run in the sixth and three in the seventh to put the game out of reach and take the contest 8-4.
TROJAN LEADERS
Patierno had one of the only two RBI for the Trojans.
QUEENS LEADERS
Harris had two RBI in the game for the Royals.

The key moment was in the 6th inning when Queens took the lead as they never relinquished it.
