FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Georgia- The University of Mount Olive men's volleyball team defeated the Lions of Emmanuel College 3-2 Sunday afternoon. The Trojans improve to 7-1, 6-1 and the Lions fall to 2-7,1-5.
GAME INFORMATION
Mount Olive took the opening two points and opened up to a 7-4 lead. The first set was all UMO as a trio of four-point runs allowed the Trojans to take the opening set 25-18.
The second and third sets had identical scores as Emmanuel tied and took control of the match with 25-22 set wins.
The fourth set had Mount Olive once again take the first two points of the set, however the beginning of the set remained close. UMO used a trio of three-point runs to help put themselves a head for a moment but the set came down to a fight at the end. The fight was won by the Trojans at 30-28 as UMO took the final two points to tie the set at two and force the tie-breaker.
In the final set Mount Olive took the opening point on its way to a 7-4 lead early on. Emmanuel showed a bit of spark with a three-point run late, however the Trojan lead stayed intact and UMO closed out the match with the final point to win the match 3-2.

The Trojans were led by Tobi Azeez with 25 kills and two service aces.
Emmanuel Leaders
The Lions were led by Aleksa Lakic with 24 kills.
Key Moment
The key moment of the match came in the final set as UMO was able to fend off a late attack by the Lions and hold on for the 3-2 match victory.
