FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Georgia – The University of Mount Olive men's basketball team fell to Emmanuel College 90-69 in Conference Carolinas play Saturday afternoon. UMO falls to 5-8, 5-8 and Belmont Abbey improves to 11-4, 8-3 on the season.

Emmanuel got on the board first with a pair of free-throws . The lead for the Lions stayed around the six-point mark for a majority of the contest, until a eight-point run by EC expanded the lead to 20-10. Mount Olive was not able to make a dent in the lead in the first half as the lead went as high as 15 and took a 42-29 lead for the Lions.
The Trojans started the second half with a bucket by Alan Treakle, however the Lions were too much for Mount Olive as the lead never fell below 11 and Emmanuel took the win 90-69.

Alan Treakle led the Trojans with 18 points.

Kelvin Jones had a game high of 19 points.
