MOUNT OLIVE, North Carolina - The University of Mount Olive women's basketball team defeated the Blue Bears of Livingstone College on Saturday to open up their regular season. This win takes the Trojans to 1-0 overall. 

INSIDE THE SCORE
The Trojans were the first on the scoreboard with a layup from Makayla Kimble 2-0 with 9:30 left in the 1st quarter. The UMO offense went on a 5-0 run to earn an eight-point lead 18-13 with 0:35 left in the first quarter. The Trojans headed into quarter number two with a seven point lead 21-14.

The Trojan offense did not stop there as they came into the second quarter with authority, and increased their lead by 11 34-23. Mount Olive headed into halftime with an 11-point lead 38-27.

In the beginning of the third quarter the Trojans took the first four points, increasing their lead to 15, 42-27 with 8:51 remaining.

The dominating Trojan offense did not stop as they remained in control for the conclusion of the contest.  Mount Olive took a 13-point victory over the Blue Bears 68-55.

MOUNT OLIVE LEADERS
Ivanda Hudjakova led the Trojans with 18 points and four rebounds while Azariah Fields took home 13 points.

BLUE BEARS LEADERS
The Blue Bears were led by Alexis Lake with 7 rebounds.
