MOUNT OLIVE, N.C.-- The University of Mount Olive defeated the Crusaders of Belmont Abbey College 3-0 in Conference Carolinas action on Saturday. This win takes the Trojans to 11-13 overall and 6-8 in conference.
1st Set
UMO started off with a 2-0 lead to start set one with a kill from Karoline Cox 2-0. A three-point Trojan run with a kill from Amara Eziakonwa brought the Trojans up by four 5-1. Belmont Abbey took their first lead of the set with a three-point run 7-6. The Crusaders had no answer for the UMO offense as the Trojans took a eight-point run 20-10. A service ace from Amara Eziakonwa won set one 25-15.
2nd Set
Mount Olive started off strong as they took a 3-1 advantage with a kill from Ashlyn Stone. A five-point run for the Trojans brought them a four-point lead 14-10. Belmont Abbey could not stop the Trojan offense as UMO took set two 25-22.
3rd Set
Belmont Abbey had all the momentum as they took a 5-0 lead over the Trojans. A Trojan ace from Amara Eziakonwa brought UMO up by two 10-8. After a three-point run by Belmont Abbey, the Trojans closed out the set and the match 25-22.

Ashlyn Stone led the Trojans with 11 kills.
Madison Goodman had 20 assists and Ashlyn Stone had 12 digs.
CRUSADERS LEADER
Paige Rawlins led the Crusaders with 27 assist.
