Spartanburg, S.C. ---  UMO Men's Soccer (10-5-0, 8-2-0) took down Converse University (6-8-2, 2-6-1) 1-0 in Conference Carolinas action Saturday afternoon in Spartanburg, S.C.

INSIDE THE SCORE:
The opening period had UMO and CU deadlocked in a scoreless battle and found themselves heading into the half 0-0. Mount Olive had moments to score as twice the Trojans had consecutive shots on goal but were held off.

In the second, UMO's Alfie Pope broke the tie five minutes in as Kevin Avila found the senior and gave Mount Olive the lead.

The Trojans shot six more times but did not extend their lead and held Converse to five scoreless shots, taking the 1-0 final.

Pope led the Trojans with a goal off two shots.

The Valkyries were led by Jaxon Keene with two shots.
