Banner Elk, North Carolina - The University of Mount Olive men's basketball team fell to Lees-McRae College 102-66 in Conference Carolinas action Friday afternoon. The Bobcats improve to 2-0, while the Trojans fall to 0-1 to start their season.

INSIDE THE SCORE

Lees-McRae opened the contest scoring the first six points before UMO responded with two points of their own to draw the early deficit to 6-2 with 18:18 remaining. The Bobcats maintained their lead for the entirety of the first half not allowing Mount Olive a chance to tie the game and took a 49-38 lead into the break.

The second half began with a Bobcat basket at the 19:32 mark, which pushed their lead to 51-38. Mount Olive put up a good fight, but never held the lead for the reminder of the game. LMC went onto take the 102-66 victory.

Quay Kimble led LMC with 21 points, five assists, and one steals.
