GAME ONE
- Mount Olive found the momentum early as Nate Estes drew a walk and teammate Drew Ellis made the Crusaders' pitcher pay for a pitch in his zone as he hit a two-run home run to right and UMO led 2-0.
- North Greenville bounced back with a home run of their own in the bottom of the second to draw to within one.
- Ellis scored another run for the Trojans in the top of the third this time on an RBI-double to left and Mount Olive went back ahead by two.
- A two-run bottom of the sixth allowed the Crusaders to tie the game at three.
- The game did not see a run scored in the seventh and NGU found the go-ahead run in the eighth on a wild pitch and an RBI-single to give the home team a two-run cushion heading into UMO's final set of at-bats.
- Mount Olive went down in order in the top of the ninth and fell in game one.
KEY STATS GAME 1
- Brighton Hudson (5-2) suffered the loss on the mound as he allowed seven runs on 10 hits and struck out two.
- Drew Ellis led the team going 2-for-4 with three RBI.
GAME TWO
- Game two started with the Trojans falling behind in the bottom of the second as the Crusaders put one run on the board.
- NGU added another run in the fourth to extend the lead to two.
- Jose Lopez gave the Trojans a bit of a boost in the bottom of the sixth with a two-run home run to tie the game.
- Heading into the bottom of the seventh the pressure was put back onto the Crusaders and they found a way to pull out the win a Jared Williams hit the walk-off home run in the bottom of the seventh to give North Greenville the win.
KEY STATS GAME 2
- Zach Vennaro (3-1) was credited with the loss in relief.
- Jose Lopez led the Trojans in game two as he went 1-for-3 with two RBI.
