University of Mount Olive

Emma Celentano joined the University of Mount Olive as the head coach of the women's volleyball team in December of 2019.

Celentano comes to Mount Olive after serving as an assistant coach for NCAA Division I North Carolina Central University since 2016. In 2019 she was elevated to associate head coach. 

While at NCCU Celentano co-founded the Carolina Edge Volleyball Club in Durham, N.C. where she is currently serving as the master coach for two of the 15U travel teams. 

Celentano is a graduate from the University of North Carolina where she obtained her Bachelors in Exercise and Sport Science with a Sport Administration Minor.

During her 2020 season at UMO Celentano lead the Trojans to 7-4 overall and 6-3 in Conference play. She also lead UMO to the Semifinals of the Conference Carolinas Tournament. 

In 2021, the Trojans were 15-14 overall with a record of 9-8 in Conference play. She added a First-Team all Conference athlete to her list of accolades.
