Tony Stoyanov

With over a decade of coaching experience, Tony Stoyanov enters his first season as an assistant coach at Mount Olive in 2024.

Stoyanov joins the Trojans following a three-year stint as the head coach of the UCLA Women's Club Soccer program. He led the Bruins to the 2023 National Intramural and Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA) Women's National Championship following a 1-0 victory over Boston College. In 2022, Stoyanov guided the program to the NIRSA Women's Open Champion after defeating Kansas by a 1-0 margin.
Additionally, he served three years as the program director of the Culver City Football Club. Stoyanov developed a program for weekly training sessions, recruited coaching staff, and provided player assessments while assisting the USPL Men's Team. He also worked as a Girls Varsity Assistant Coach for Culver City Unified School District.

Stoyanov spent three years as the head coach of the Girls Jr. Elite Camp with the Malibu Soccer Academy at Pepperdine University from 2022-24. He served a short stint as a volunteer assistant coach in 2021 with the women's soccer team at West Los Angeles College. In 2019, Stoyanov worked as an assistant coach with Beach FC while also holding the head coach position at Juventus Academy LA. From 2016-18, he was the technical director of camps and clinics at ADP10 Football Academies, an organization founded by World Cup Champion and Juventus striker Alessandro Del Piero.

Following five years of playing amateur, Stoyanov began his career as a coach in 2012 with Brit West Soccer in Los Angeles, California, as the director of camps and clinics. He served in that role for eight years while also working as a head coach for Ayso Extra from 2012-2020.

He currently holds a "B" license from the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) and the United States Soccer Federation (USSF). Stoyanov is fluent in four languages – Bulgarian, English, French, and Russian.

Stoyanov earned his bachelor's degree in international economic relations in 2004 before completing his master's degree in international business and management in 2006 from D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics.
