In addition to his position at Mount Olive, Clewis has also served as an assistant coach with the North Carolina Olympic Development Program.

After the 2010 women's soccer season, Clewis moved to his hometown of Wilmington, N.C., where he was Assistant Director of Player Development for Cape Fear Soccer Club. During his first stint at Mount Olive, he also spent two years at Fayetteville Soccer Club, serving as a staff coach and technical director of camps.

Clewis earned a B.S. degree in sports management at Mount Olive. He holds a USSF D License, NSCAA National and Advanced National Diplomas, and NSCAA Level I & II GK Diploma.

Clewis is married to Amber Jacobs. The couple's son Landon was born in December 2011. Clewis also became stepdad to Kaley and Megan.
